From March 2010 every NHS trust must provide non mixed wards for male and female patients, this forms part of the Government’s policy to ensure privacy and dignity for all.

To tackle this sensitive subject and bring it to the attention of patients and the public, Bright worked with the East Midlands NHS trust to promote an integrated communications campaign highlighting the pledge made by staff to turn this policy into a reality across all 23 trusts. The campaign was hugely successful in communicating the changes, achieving press coverage in every single regional newspaper covered by East Midlands NHS as well as interviews on ITV East Midlands and BBC East Midlands Today.
