Taking the ‘P’ out of your home

A consumer awareness campaign for the electrical industry body, NICEIC, highlighted the dangers of cash-strapped Brits attempting electrical DIY on the cheap.

‘Don’t take the P out of your home’ fronted by celebrity Linda Barker, highlighted stark messages to make homeowners aware that for electrical work in their home to be safe and legal they must use a qualified electrician and ensure that work complies with Part P of the Building Regulations.

Through masses of regional, online and broadcast coverage, homeowners were directed to a microsite don’t take the p where they could find further information, including a list of 25,000 NICEIC approved electricians.
