Motorists Reach Crisis Over killer Potholes: A Killer Waiting to Happen

A hard hitting campaign that placed the real danger potholes pose to everyday road users and the true cost of vehicle repairs firmly on the news agenda. Our own investigations revealed local councils are required to display temporary road signs when road surfaces are a danger, but very few do, Autoglass called for this to be followed. Consumer research revealed the average motorist encounters 13 potholes a day and shells out £247 for costly repairs. Impactful broadcast footage, a road user who had suffered horrific injuries as a result of hitting a pothole and the backing of the CTC (national cyclist association) helped us achieve a staggering 115 pieces of national, regional, broadcast and online coverage with a PR value of over £500,000.

Video news content, a social media release and targeting influential bloggers and forums on an individual basis helped us reach a wider online audience.
